I graduated from Seattle University in 2003 with a
Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology then worked at
Harborview Medical Center as a research scientist
studying assays for early detection of melanoma and
ovarian cancer. However, through my volunteer work I
realized working with people and specifically nursing was
my calling. I went to nursing school at Pacific Lutheran
University and graduated from the Family Nurse
Practitioner program with my Master’s of Science in
Nursing in May of 2008. I have been working at Partner
Oncology ever since! I worked at Good Samaritan
Hospital as a staff/charge nurse on the oncology unit for
two years. This is where I met Dr. Liao and witnessed
first hand how he interacts with his patients, how
knowledgeable he is and how caring and compassionate
he is as an oncologist. I was able to do a clinical rotation
here with Dr. Liao as my preceptor. Getting to know or
patients further cemented the fact that this is what I am
passionate about and I knew I was in the right place. I
love hematology/oncology for the complexity and
challenge an for the role of being able to help patients get
through a difficult and often trying process of a cancer
diagnosis and its accompanying treatments. I am board
certified as a family nurse practitioner and as an onology
nurse. I am an active member of the Oncology Nursing
Society, Oncology Nurse Practitioner Special Interest
Group, Puget Sound Oncology Nursing Society and the
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. I am proud to
be an oncology nurse practitioner and look forward to
taking care of my patients.
